Description
Stanley Consultants is hiring for a Mechanical Engineer to be based on site with our U.S. Air Force client at Muwaffaq-Salti AB. YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN WITH CURRENT OR PRIOR SECRET CLEARANCE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY. This position will be responsible for performing design assistance on facility projects. This includes assisting in preparation of conceptual studies and sketches that indicate pertinent design features, material, equipment, and specifications. You will assist in developing cost estimates, drawings, statements of work, bills of materials, time schedules, and submittal registers as required; review and analyze preliminary and final plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and adequacy. You will prepare necessary correspondence, technical reports, fact sheets, and status reports and prepare or oversee the preparation of final construction drawings. Duties include coordinating all design phases with appropriate managers and staff elements and maintaining current engineering data for assigned projects.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Developing Architect-Engineer Statements of Work
- Coordinating projects among disciplines
- Field verifying facility and utility system conditions
- Monitoring construction, reviewing submittals, and as-build drawings
- Ensuring compliance with contract plans and specifications
- Developing CADD drawings
- Performing engineering calculations
- Developing DD1391 programming documents
- Calculating utility demand and consumption
- Reviewing AF Form 332 Work Requests
- Performing technical review of construction bids
- Responding to contractor Requests For Information (RFI)
- Performing mechanical system assessments
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with demonstrable experience in design and construction for the Department of Defense, with well-developed professional skills and a proven track record of delivering results. Your ability to work collaboratively with a team of people from across multiple organizations and the company will be crucial for success.
Essential:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or institution
- Experience (3+ years) in facility engineering for Defense (DoD) MILCON and FSRM projects
- Demonstrated the ability to complete projects on schedule and within budget
- Must be medically fit for duty (immunizations, dental clearance)
- hold or have previously held a Secret Security Clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
