Job Overview:
A client in Amman, Jordan, is looking for an experienced Delivery & Project Manager to lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of ERP projects, digital products, and mobile application initiatives.
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring strong project leadership, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate multiple teams and workstreams from project initiation through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining control over project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, vendors, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring that delivery remains aligned with business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Delivery:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones.
Use Microsoft Project to build and manage integrated project schedules.
Coordinate project execution and task tracking through Azure DevOps.
Monitor progress continuously and ensure that project activities remain aligned with approved plans and objectives.
Identify potential delivery risks, dependencies, and schedule issues and take appropriate action to keep projects on track.
Manage several project workstreams simultaneously while maintaining clear priorities and delivery standards.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership:
Lead and coordinate multiple teams, including software development, Quality Assurance (QA), product management, infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Ensure effective communication and coordination between technical and non-technical teams.
Align different workstreams around common milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and project priorities.
Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
ERP Project Management:
Manage ERP implementation and upgrade projects across key business functions.
Coordinate ERP-related initiatives covering areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Procurement, Inventory, and Operations.
Support the planning and execution of ERP deployments while ensuring business requirements and technical deliverables remain aligned.
Coordinate activities involving ERP configuration, integrations, testing, data migration, deployment, and go-live readiness.
Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle is relevant to the role.
Digital Products and Mobile Applications:
Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital products and mobile application projects.
Coordinate activities related to software development, quality assurance, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment, and application release.
Oversee mobile application publishing through app stores.
Coordinate localization activities and ensure that required release tasks are completed.
Manage post-release activities, including hotfixes and stabilization when required.
Ensure digital products and applications are prepared for successful production launch.
Testing, Migration and Go-Live:
Coordinate testing activities and ensure that projects meet the required readiness standards before production deployment.
Oversee UAT, data migration, system integrations, production readiness, deployment, and rollback planning.
Coordinate go-live activities and ensure all required teams and stakeholders are prepared.
Manage post-go-live stabilization and follow-up activities to support a smooth transition into production.
Ensure technical and business dependencies are properly addressed before deployment.
Vendor and Contract Management:
Manage external vendors and ensure that their deliverables remain aligned with agreed project requirements.
Review and manage Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), contractual milestones, budgets, and vendor performance.
Track vendor commitments and address delivery issues or deviations when necessary.
Maintain effective communication with suppliers and external service providers throughout project execution.
Reporting and Governance:
Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and executive stakeholders.
Communicate project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and key decisions clearly and accurately.
Maintain appropriate project governance documentation.
Ensure that project reporting provides stakeholders with a clear view of delivery performance and overall project health.
Support governance processes and maintain accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.
At least 7 years of experience in IT project management, delivery management, or a closely related field.
Proven experience delivering at least two of the following:
ERP implementation or upgrade projects.
Mobile application rollouts.
B2B or B2C digital product/platform launches.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps is mandatory.
Practical experience with UAT, go-live activities, vendor management, SOWs, and the coordination of multiple project workstreams.
Experience with ERP platforms such as Dynamics 365, SAP, or Oracle.
Understanding of APIs, system integrations, CI/CD, deployment environments, and data migration.
Strong leadership and team coordination capabilities.
Excellent communication skills, particularly when dealing with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or an equivalent certification are considered an advantage.
