About the Position:
The Electrical Engineer will oversee electrical works throughout the project execution process, from installation to testing, commissioning, and system energization. The role requires close attention to approved engineering drawings, material specifications, installation standards, and construction schedules.
In addition to supervising site activities, the engineer will coordinate with civil, mechanical, and architectural teams to ensure that electrical systems are properly integrated with other project components. The position also involves reviewing technical documentation, monitoring construction progress, participating in quality inspections, and maintaining accurate records of completed works.
Candidates should have the technical knowledge and practical site experience needed to manage electrical installation activities, identify implementation problems, and help ensure that project milestones are achieved in accordance with the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of Electrical Works:
Supervise and manage the execution of electrical installations across construction and infrastructure projects.
Follow up on the installation of power distribution systems, lighting networks, grounding systems, and low-voltage installations.
Oversee the installation of electrical generators, distribution panels, cable routing, and associated electrical systems.
Monitor site activities to ensure that electrical works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
Follow up on installation quality and identify any deviations that require technical review or corrective action.
2. Engineering Drawings and Technical Approvals:
Review electrical shop drawings and coordinate the required technical information with the relevant project teams.
Examine technical submittals and follow up on material approval procedures.
Ensure that electrical installation activities are consistent with approved engineering documentation.
Coordinate technical requirements to help maintain consistency between the electrical design, site execution, and other project disciplines.
3. Coordination with Other Engineering Disciplines:
Work closely with civil, mechanical, and architectural teams to coordinate the integration of electrical systems within the project.
Follow up on site requirements that affect the installation and completion of electrical works.
Address coordination issues that may arise between electrical installations and other construction activities.
Support communication between the relevant teams to facilitate the smooth execution of project works.
4. Site Progress and Project Schedule:
Monitor the progress of electrical works and compare site activities with the approved project schedule.
Follow up on project milestones and identify issues that may affect the timely completion of electrical installations.
Coordinate the execution of assigned works to support progress in line with project timelines.
Identify technical or site-related obstacles and work toward resolving them efficiently.
5. Testing, Commissioning, and System Energization:
Support testing and commissioning activities for installed electrical systems.
Participate in system energization activities as part of the project completion process.
Assist in following up on the technical readiness of electrical installations for the relevant testing and commissioning stages.
Contribute to the activities required to prepare systems for handover.
6. Quality Control and Site Inspections:
Participate in site inspections and quality control procedures related to electrical works.
Follow up on the identification and correction of deficiencies discovered during inspections.
Take part in snagging activities to help ensure that outstanding installation issues are addressed.
Verify that completed works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable installation standards.
7. Technical Problem-Solving and Documentation:
Identify electrical engineering problems arising during site execution and work toward resolving them promptly and effectively.
Maintain accurate as-built documentation reflecting completed electrical installations.
Prepare and maintain relevant site reports, technical records, and project documentation.
Support the proper documentation of electrical works throughout execution and project completion.
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Educational Background and Experience:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Have five years of professional experience in construction projects involving buildings, infrastructure, or both.
Possess practical experience in executing electrical works at construction sites.

Technical Competencies:
Strong knowledge of electrical system execution, particularly power distribution and low-voltage systems.
