Job Title: Accounting Assistant
(Bookkeeper/Account Clerk)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. If you have a strong numerical aptitude and a passion for precision, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, payments, and collections.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and general ledger entries.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.
• Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with audit preparations and respond to audit inquiries.
Required Competencies:
- Previous experience as a bookkeeper, account clerk, or in a similar accounting role .
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel
- SAGE 50 an advantage
- Multi Company / Multi currency understanding beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Nominal Codes for financial reporting

Languages:

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance or a related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum Two years (2) of relevant working experience; OR Completed Secondary School Diploma from an accredited academic institution with minimum Four (4) years of relevant professional experience.
- Fresh gradutes are welcome to apply
- Demonstrated accuracy in handling and reporting data
Place of work:
- Based in Amman office
- Working Jordanian hours 8.30am to 5.30pm
