Job Title: Accounting Assistant

(Bookkeeper/Account Clerk)

Who we are:

Wizard Cyber are an international cyber security MSSP based in the UK and with a regional office in Amman

The Amman office covers administrative duties and 24/7 Security Operations Center

Wizard has been established since 1995

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. If you have a strong numerical aptitude and a passion for precision, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, payments, and collections.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries and general ledger entries.

• Assist in preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.

• Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

• Collaborate with team members to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Assist with audit preparations and respond to audit inquiries.

Required Competencies:

  • Previous experience as a bookkeeper, account clerk, or in a similar accounting role .
  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel
  • SAGE 50 an advantage
  • Multi Company / Multi currency understanding beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of Nominal Codes for financial reporting

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic oral & written is required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance or a related field from an accredited academic institution with minimum Two years (2) of relevant working experience; OR Completed Secondary School Diploma from an accredited academic institution with minimum Four (4) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Fresh gradutes are welcome to apply
  • Demonstrated accuracy in handling and reporting data

Place of work:

  • Based in Amman office
  • Working Jordanian hours 8.30am to 5.30pm
