Innovation Analyst

 Accountabilities & Key Roles :  

• Review online data bases including (Gust, Magnnit, Angel list, etc.) for new startup opportunities, and conduct preliminary research and distribute qualified leads to the team.
• Conduct initial screening on investments decks and pitches and compile feedback. 
• Reviews submitted ideas and ensure that the ideas are within the program mandate.
• Conduct the required industry and data collection for all target investment opportunities. This includes market sizing, stakeholder analysis and competitive analysis. 
• Assist in conducting due diligence on promising opportunities for investment.
• in developing and maintaining models, dashboard and presentation that track and analyze Portfolio Company’s growth.
• Assist in preparing the preliminary investment report and/or memos for deals admitted into the pipeline. Also, preparing investment opportunities briefs for other team members prior to periodic team meetings.
• Assist in preparing quarterly reports, annual reports, investor updates and quarterly newsletters.
• Assemble and administer the related data and information into periodic reports for internal use that could be leveraged for the external communication.
• Identify and educate the team on new innovation technology trends and markets, and recommend high potential investments.

Job Requirements: 

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and Management, Economics, Statistics or a related field from a recognized University.

Experience: 

1-4 years of experience in business development. Entrepreneurial mind-set with a keen interest in start-ups and technology displayed through deep knowledge and previous start-up experience, FinTech sector expertise is a plus.

• Outstanding Computer skills (high proficiency in MS Office tools).
• Strong Accounting and Financial modeling skills.
• Project Management.
• Banking/Financial services Experience/knowledge.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Entrepreneurial mind-set.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Critical, analytical, and decision making skills.
