Director Of Operations
Job Description
Ensuring financial targets and other agreed targets are met in all departments
Manage all aspects of on boarding, operations, support and reporting for clients in accordance with contractual obligations, service standards and organizational KPIs.
Coordinate and manage all aspects of payment operations (relevant to horizontal/vertical responsibility area) – including collaboration and coordination with the teams.
Design, optimize and enhance operational procedures to increase operational efficiency, automate tasks, enhance reliability and reduce errors.
Design and implement monitoring and reporting procedures, modules and dashboards.
Work with analytics and business intelligence teams to ensure relevant KPI and deep business insights are captured, assessed and communicated.
Support group-wide teams were applicable through sharing expertise, knowledge and insights.
Recruit, select, train and manage operations team members. This shall encompass setting work objectives, annual targets, performance KPIs as well as appraisal and assessments.
Reviewing working practices to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise an alternative
Collaborate with senior Payments leadership to enhance and develop the operations functions and team.
Define, communicate, implement and monitor operations plans including relevant processes, standards and best practices.
Keeping employees motivated and organizing appropriate training
Ensuring the business operates within the company’s mission statement
Working with department heads and senior management to get the best performance from staff
Measures effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes
Develops and implements growth strategies
Acts as a liaison between company and client for quality assurance
Oversees daily operations and makes adjustments as necessary
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 10+ years of operations experience at a high-growth technology company (preferably in the Payments or FinTech space).
- Strong understanding of legal, regulatory, operational, financial and technical elements affecting Payment processing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage high-performance teams (preferably in a mission-critical environment).
- Excellent analytical, deduction and problem solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal presentation skills
