Administrative and Finance Officer

Contract duration: One year
Under article 4.2, paragraph (e) of the Staff Regulations, the filling of vacancies in technical cooperation projects does not fall under Annex I of the Staff Regulations and is made by direct selection by the Director-General.

Technical cooperation appointments are not expected to lead to a career in the ILO and they do not carry any expectation of renewal or conversion to any other type of appointment in the Organization.
- Conditions of employment for external candidates: In conformity with existing ILO practice, the appointment of an external candidate will normally be made at the first step of this grade. The entry level salary for this position is 27,764 JOD yearly.
Introduction
In response to the challenges Jordan faces as a main host country, the PROSPECTS partnership brings together the expertise of UNICEF, UNHCR, ILO, the World Bank and IFC with support from the Kingdom of
the Netherlands, to address multiple dimensions of the displacement crisis. PROSPECTS interventions align
with national strategies and have a longer term goal of supporting human development through increased
economic opportunities, wider access to quality education and stronger protection mechanisms.
The ILO’s competitive advantage in the partnership makes it well placed to support the transition to formal employment for Jordanians, Syrians refugees and other vulnerable groups.
This includes enhanced employability through skills training and certification, job matching, an enabling regulatory environment and the expansion of employment based social protection.
These interventions are aligned with the 2018-2022 Decent Work Country Programme in Jordan,
which sets the Government and Social Partner’s priorities for decent work. This includes (1) employment creation which contributes to economic and social stability
(2) decent work conditions that create a level playing field for Jordanians, refugees and
